Scott I. Sircus, M.D.
Scott I. Sircus, M.D. is a partner in the Michigan Institute of Urology, P.C. Dr. Sircus has been practicing in the Metropolitan Detroit area since 1989. Dr. Sircus is board certified in the specialty of Urology. Dr. Sircus is experienced in all areas of Adult Urology. His special interests include Laparoscopic and da Vinci Robotic Surgical Techniques, Urologic Cancer, Prostate Disease, Incontinence and minimally invasive treatments for BPH. Dr. Sircus has extensive expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat and cure men with urine leakage following prostate cancer treatment. He has authored numerous journal articles on the topics of urinary incontinence and bladder cancer.
Dr. Sircus received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida, 1979, graduating magna cum laude. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Miami, 1983, where he was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Scholastic Honor Society. Dr. Sircus completed his General Surgery Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and his Urology Residency at Tufts New England Medical Center Hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts in 1989.
Dr. Sircus is on staff at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital, Providence Hospital, William Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital & McLaren Macomb Hospital. Dr. Sircus currently serves as the chief of the division of urology at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital, Warren. He is also site director of the St. John Providence urology residency at SJMH and coordinator of multidisciplinary urology cancer conference at St. John Macomb.
Dr. Sircus is a Member of the American Urological Association, American Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society and Oakland County Medical Society.
Dr. Sircus and his wife Linda reside in Franklin, Michigan. In his free time, Dr. Sircus enjoys gardening, bicycling & golf.
